Hello there everyone!

Well yes, it's finally that time. Time to announce the results of the Avi Contest (who I will remind everyone that it ended a two days ago VoV;; ) Although I didn't get very many entries, that just means that those who DID enter had more chances to win! After much deliberation, I have reached a verdict:

1st Place--The outside entrant who made the avi I am currently using I know that it isn't as "personally" made as some of the others, but I really like the idea (and there's a Layton hat!! How can you not win with a Layton hat??)

Advocations and Random Points of Interest

This is an idea I respect on both sides of the issue, haven't seen extensive and thought-out advocations for both sides. While I morally dislike the idea of mounting animals for any purpose, I see their scientific signifigance, their effect on people's understanding of animals, and the art of taxidermy is something that must be mastered and refined. However, this doesn't mean that I accept what these people are doing completely in all circumstances and I feel a site like this needs to be fine-tuned towards those "exceptions" and elemineate those who are giving a bad name to the industry and actually using these skins as plushies. Faux fur is quite enough, thanks. Plushie are toys for enjoyment--anatomy isn't a major concern. I say this understanding that not all invovled with these acts are slandering/treating the skins badly, but it's not something that I would ever put my money/energy/time towards. Any discussion of this on either side would be acceptable if you'd like to talk about it :3 Thanks
